Alex Avalos
PH.D student
Alex’s interests broadly lie in the intersection among the evolution of morphology and behavior, physiology, and ecology. More specifically, he is interested in why animals look and behave in the way they do, and what potential adaptations they have evolved to overcome physiological barriers that might otherwise block phenotypic evolution. He is interested in a range of diverse taxa, but he is drawn most towards species with unique morphological and/or behavioral characteristics
